My Approach

Natural facial rejuvenation begins beyond the face.

I look at the whole person — not just the skin. The way you hold your body, carry your head, breathe and move all influence how your face looks, feels and ages.

The face does not exist in isolation.

When I work with a client, I don't begin by looking at the face. I begin by looking at the whole person — how they stand, how they hold their shoulders, how their head is positioned, how they breathe.

The face is the most visible part of the body. But it is also the most connected. The tissues of the face are continuous with the neck, the jaw, the scalp, the shoulders and the chest. The fascia — the connective tissue that wraps and connects every structure in the body — runs without interruption from the soles of the feet to the crown of the head.

When there is tension, restriction or imbalance somewhere in this system, it can influence how the face looks, moves and feels. This is why my approach to facial rejuvenation begins with the body.

Neck and shoulder anatomy connection

The connection

From posture to face.

Each area of the body influences the next. When we work with the whole chain, we support the face from the inside out.

01

Posture

The overall position of the body sets the foundation. Habitual patterns of standing and sitting influence how load is distributed through the spine, shoulders and neck.

02

Shoulders

Rounded or lowered shoulders can create tension in the upper back and chest, pulling on the structures of the neck and altering how the head is carried.

03

Neck

The neck is the bridge between the body and the face. Tension here can restrict movement, affect circulation and influence the tissues of the jaw and lower face.

04

Head position

When the head moves forward of the body's centre, it changes the load on the neck and can affect the way the facial tissues are supported and positioned.

05

Jaw & scalp

The jaw is one of the most habitually tense areas of the body. Tension here connects directly to the temples, scalp, cheeks and the muscles around the eyes.

06

Face

The face reflects everything below it. When the structures beneath are more mobile, relaxed and balanced, the face can look and feel more harmonious, rested and naturally youthful.

What I observe

I look before I touch.

Before beginning any treatment, I take time to observe. I look at how you stand, how you hold your body, where there is tension and how the face and body move together.

  • Posture and overall body position
  • Position of the head and neck
  • Shoulder and shoulder girdle position
  • Chest and ribcage
  • Breathing patterns
  • Jaw and facial tension
  • Muscular habits and asymmetries
  • Fascial restrictions and tissue quality
  • How the face and body move together

This observation shapes every treatment. No two sessions are the same, because no two people are the same.

My language

I work with the body, not against it.

I do not make medical claims. I do not diagnose or treat medical conditions. My work is not a substitute for medical care. Instead, I use language that reflects what manual therapy can genuinely offer: I observe, explore, release, support, encourage mobility, create awareness and work with tension. The goal is always to support the body's own capacity for balance and ease.

If you have a medical condition or are under the care of a healthcare professional, please let me know before your session.
